Congratulations to Jared Termini, a recipient of the Iowa Space Grant Consortium's Undergraduate Research Fellowship!

Jared, a junior at University of Iowa double-majoring in Physics & Astronomy, has been working in the DeRoo Research Group for about a year. He's been integral both in bringing the laboratory up to speed and studies of Chandra observations of the supernova remnant G310.6-1.6.

Jared's proposed fellowship project will characterize groove patterning accuracy of electron-beam lithography, a highly customizable lithography technique which rasters a beam of accelerated electrons across resist to form a pattern. His work will provide an important foundation for the future fabrication of X-ray gratings on a variety of substrates.
