Prof. DeRoo and graduate student Dustin Swarm presented at the 2019 SPIE Optics & Photonics Conference Aug. 11-15 in San Diego. Dustin presented work he and Prof. DeRoo have done on performance predictions for the Arcus X-ray Spectrometer mission concept, while Prof. DeRoo gave a presentation on the development of curved diffractive X-ray optics (CDXO). They also had some time to enjoy sunny San Diego's sights, and got their picture taken with a giant inflatable Spiderman left over from the annual Comic-Con meeting.
